How are y’all doing today?
I hope you’re doing okay. Each day is a different story for me during this quarantine time I tell ya.
On my blog, I have talked with you a lot about the #entrepeneurlife and how one must have solid mental strength and community (and many other variables) to make it as a business owner.
Well here’s another solid #entrepeurlife lesson, pre-pandemic doubts and concerns you had about your business...ya those will come in fiery hot when you have nothing but time on your hands!
You see...I had just niched. I even wrote about it in a blog *here*.
I fought it for so long and after 5 years in business, I landed on “brows and beauty” because it LIGHTS. ME. UP.
So with this clarity, I was ready to announce brows and beauty from the mountain tops. And I *feel* like my mountain shouting was going swell. I was doing a solid job of putting out more work to show to my current and future clients: I got this.
Well. I do “got this” but I have the pandemic worries creep up. You see, after a few weeks of repeated “WTF” and lots of meditation, I wanted to figure out a way to still stay engaged with my clients. To remind them that I am the brow and beauty person.
More so, how I can provide them (you) VALUE.
The idea that made most sense and I felt would truly be valuable are beauty videos. Skincare. Makeup. Brows. Something to say “heyyy girl. I’m in this crazy time with you. Hopefully this distraction of mascara and a brow fill-in will get you through today and maybe you learn something, too.”
Well, that is my hope.
I posted a “morning skincare routine” yesterday. If you don’t see how it relates to what I do with brows and beauty, allow me to break it down.
Skincare = great skin = beautiful makeup
Anytime someone hires me for makeup, I always start with talking about the clients’ skincare regimen. You could have the most expensive and beautiful makeup products in the world, but if the skin is dehydrated/unwashed/flaky...the makeup artist can only do so much
So, there is a little freebie lesson for you this week.
Don’t fret if you don’t have all the skincare things on hand. Honestly, just taking the time to create a routine of taking care of yourself is the goal. And the big win.
I miss my clients so much. Please let me know what you want to learn. If you have specific questions about any of the brow services I offer, I would love to answer them!
Giving you the biggest and most obnoxious virtual hug.
xo,
Emily
