My hands are tied...

... with this whole covid-19 thing. Yes, you read that right. ANOTHER email about covid-19.

Dear client of mine, I'm sorry I had to do that to you but I think it's about time I address the question that I am constantly asked, the question I am regularly contemplating...the "opening" question.

I say my "hands are tied" quite literally because of the nature of what I do for a living. I always Use. My. Hands. And there really isn't a way to physically distance when you're doing someone's eyebrows or makeup, ya know? Like, I'm in your bubble and you're in my bubble.

If I had killer skills at applying makeup with a yardstick, trust me fam, I would.

I have been asked if I am opening this month as the rumors circulate with the various phases of reopening. As of right now in my opinion, things are pretty dang vague, and it sounds like the state of emergency for us Oregonians was extended until July 6th.

So this is what I think: until the guidelines of the physical distancing of 6 ft apart start to loosen, I don't see how I can practice my business ethically. When the other shops who do services like mine that are in direct face to face contact with the client, such as lash technicians, nail techs, and tattoo artists, are still closed up and unable to practice...it ain't happening for me either.

I hope you get where I'm coming from. It is my top priority to do this in the most responsible way possible, even though it absolutely sucks.

So, enough about Rona stuff.

Let's talk about how great you are.

So many of you are the sweetest, kindest, most courteous clients I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Many of you have asked how I can be supported during this time and I DO have some things to offer outside of my traditional services.

Well first off...did you know I sell gift certificates? Well fam, I do. In increments of $50, $100, $150, and $200 and they can be applied as the client wishes! If you would like to check out those options, click the link *here

Secondly, I sell kick ass products, baby.

Epionce, Ever, and Babe Lash to be exact. And soon to be Glo Skin Beauty.

Why I sell these products: I believe in them.

What this means: I agree and approve of the way the products were produced and manufactured. I love the way the products feel and look. I love that the products are ethically sound with ingredients that have the clients' wellbeing in mind. I use the products on my clients. I use the products on myself, family, and friends. I do not claim to use 100% clean and green products. The majority are clean, green, fighting machines, but I have a product here and there that does not fall into that criteria. I am definitely heading in that direction, and it is important to me that I don’t claim that I am.

Another "why" I sell these products: because I want my clients to have access to the amazing products that I have tested time and time again. These products deliver results and perform as they claim to perform. My clients come to me to make their lives easier and to streamline this whole "beauty thing." These products do that.

So. If you're looking for amazing skincare, let's talk.

If you're looking for epic makeup like what you've seen in my work, shoot me a message.

If you're like "what in the heck did Emily do to her eyelashes to make them that long?" I'd love to talk to you about Babe Lash.

There is no denying that my hands are quite literally tied in this completely uncertain time, but my excitement to share these other sides of my business is really, really cool. And I love doing it.

And the fact that y'all are doing the pivot with me gives me the biggest feeling of support that I could ever dream of.

xo,

Emily
