I just did a face base zoom Masterclass...

What is a face base zoom Masterclass you ask? Well, zoom... I'm sure you're an expert in that by now.

Face base? All about face makeup. More importantly, all of my tips, techniques, and tricks to skin prep, priming, and locking in your face makeup for an all day wear that stays natural and as transfer-proof as possible. Whew, say that 5 times fast.

You see, I know I spend a lot of my time here talking about the current state of the world and some little blurbs about me here and there, but I also really, really love makeup.

If you've been with me awhile, you'd know that I have been doing makeup practically my whole life, and was successfully doing professional makeup for about 3 years before this whole tattoo-brows-thing happened.

I loved talking makeup in that zoom today, and of course I had to be a goof and make people laugh (because... me). But my favorite thing from today was the feedback that I received: that

I was a good teacher and I made applying face makeup much easier for them.

Music. To. My. Ears.

Makeup should be fun. Makeup should be elevating. Makeup should be self care, ritualistic, and a mood booster.

Not a mask to cover yourself from the world.

And when I send home that message plus demystify some of the beauty industry bull shit that has been drilled into my students' minds, WIN.
