Let's hold hands (with gloves) through this reopening process
So much has changed in all of our worlds since the Coronavirus pandemic hit. At first, thinking of how I would translate this new normal into my business was so damn overwhelming. The thought of doing makeup and hair in a hazmat suit and bringing multiple changes of clothes to work made me want to flip tables.
Don't worry, I got over it and had a snack.
Then I moved forward, with more snacks, and discerned the necessary sanitation steps that will ensure a safe workplace, as issued by the Oregon Health Authority.
My safety and sanitation practices were already through the ROOF because of the way that I am (Virgo life)...but there are so many more things to think about now in terms of what I am touching, what you're touching, and if there are any other folx in the space. I want to do this responsibly and efficiently, and I assume you're more than okay with that :)
Here are the safety and sanitation changes happening at EMb. For your next appointment:
Remain in your car until you are notified via text that I'm ready for ya.
Please do not bring any friends or family members with you to your appointment.
Please limit the amount of personal items you bring into the space.
Please come to your appointment with a mask on and remain wearing your mask throughout the appointment. *for those that do not have a mask, I can provide one for you.
For makeup services, your mask can be removed. (Don't you worry, I'll be covered up).
Immediately after entering the space, please wash your hands for 20 seconds and dry off with a paper towel.
There will be some paperwork before your appointment. One of the items is a waiver agreeing that you are without any COVID-like symptoms. Completing this is necessary before we start the service.
Please limit touching retail products and other surfaces outside the treatment area.
Please use hand sanitizer between handling paperwork, touching surfaces, devices, etc.
If possible, please use the card on file from booking to pay for your service. If you would like to tip (aw thanks, boo) we can add that on at the end.
That about sums up the changes that will directly impact you, my dear client of mine.
Now, for info on booking: As of right now folx, we don't have an exact date for Phase 1 reopening in Multnomah county. There were possibilities of reopening on 6/12, but unfortunately that was post poned. Because of this, I will only be rebooking for July at the earliest to avoid any back and forth rebooking inconveniences.
Now with our eyes set on July, here is my plan: you see, I had a lot of folx with their first tattoo appointments right before COVID hit. These folx now need touch ups, because the months went by without me working and my clients were unable to have the second, required appointment. I need to get these folx in ASAP to make sure they got what they paid for. They are my top priority!
After my tattoo peeps get taken care of, next up will be my waitlist folx who submitted online forms to hold their spots. Then after we get that all sorted out.... I am officially open OPEN!
xo,
Emily
